In cooperation with the Transfusion Centre of the University Clinical Hospital Mostar and the Cantonal Hospital “Dr Safet Mujić”, blood donation campaigns were organised in January. A total of 47 out of 55 registered cadets of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies participated in the campaign by donating blood. The cadets are currently attending basic police training at the Agency for Education and Professional Training.

These activities represent a continuation of long-standing cooperation with the aforementioned institutions. In addition to expressing their gratitude to the cadets for their demonstrated humanitarian commitment and to the Agency for its cooperation, the transfusion staff reiterated the message that blood donation constitutes one of the most noble humanitarian acts. They further emphasised that current blood supply levels remain insufficient and that, without such initiatives, transfusion services would face significant challenges in meeting hospital demands and ensuring the uninterrupted treatment of patients, whether for surgical interventions or therapies involving blood products.
