The Agency for education and professional training, in cooperation with ICITAP, organized a training 'VIP Close Protection' on April 20-24, 2015. The aim of the training, which was led by instructor  Zlatko Moratić-Šećer (mr.sc.), was to improve education and provide training for police officers in BiH who are active in the field of security and close protection of VIPs.

The training was organized for police officers of SIPA, BP BiH, DCPB, MoI HNC and civil servants of AEPTM, with a focus on practice sessions: attack on a VIP and reaction of the close protection team, formation of a protection team in foot escort (diamond formation), arrival and departure from the secured location in vehicles, motorized escort, attack on a VIP in a moving vehicle and reaction of the team, organizing the security of VIP, providing security for VIPs while in the residence and at work, using specialist equipment, providing first aid during the attack on a VIP, and shooting.

On the last day of the training, the participants of demonstrated the skills they acquired at the final exercise in the presence of many officials from ICITAP, SIPA, DCPB, BP BiH, AEPTM, cantonal ministries, and individual persons providing close protection services for VIPs. A representative of ICITAP, Laddie Hancock, expressed his pleasure with what he has seen on the Agency's testing ground for situational classes, and announced that the next similar training programme will be organised in two months.
