AEPTM and BP BiH leaders at a working meeting with the representatives of the United States Government

Marko Vujević, director of the Agency for Education and Professional Training, was a host of the meeting on future cooperation projects with Mirko Kuprešaković, director of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, David Roy, head of the U.S. Armed Forces European Command Centre to Fight Illegal Trade, Tyler Truby, law enforcement attache of the United States Ministry of Justice (ICITAP) and Christopher McMurray, senior advisor for police cooperation at the INL Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the U.S. Embassy in Sarajevo.
They discussed the current developments in the security sector of Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially those concerning the implementation of legal authorities of the Border Police of BiH and Agency for Education and Professional Training. The long standing understaffing problem, which the Border Police is burdened with, was one of the important topics.
Today's meeting focused on a range of other topics such as the resources that the police agencies of Bosnia and Herzegovina need to keep on working effectively, the possibilities for future cooperation, concrete projects to strengthen the capacities of police agencies with the assistance and support of the institutions of the United States Government.
The guests described the AEPTM facilities for education and professional development of police officers as very remarkable and impressive. Directors Vujević and Kuprešaković thanked the United States Embassy for the huge support to the development of police agencies.
