At the Agency for Education and Professional Training (AEPTM) 50 cadets from the 21st generation of Basic Police Training Level I completed their program today and were officially promoted to the rank of police officer. The certificate award ceremony was attended by representatives from all levels of government, academia, as well as cadets' families and friends.
AEPTM Director Marko Vujević, DKPT Director Enes Karić, and Advisor to the Deputy Minister of Security Vedran Knezović addressed the cadets, offering congratulations and emphasizing the significance of their achievement.
“We are here to support these young people who chose the honorable profession of police officer,” said Vujević, who thanked all those involved in the training. He highlighted the rigorous process the cadets went through—including testing, security checks, and nine months of training—and stressed the importance of lifelong learning, where the Agency plays a crucial role through quality training programs.
Director Karić thanked the Agency for their cooperation and expressed appreciation to the cadets’ families. “You’ve chosen a noble but demanding profession, one that serves the citizens,” he said, urging cadets to remain professional, continuously train, and respect their senior colleagues. He assured them that the Directorate would invest in their development with proper equipment and training opportunities.
Advisor Knezović emphasized that this moment marks a significant step for the BiH security sector, noting that these 50 newly trained officers are ready to take on key responsibilities in ensuring public safety. He reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting police agencies and creating favorable working conditions.
The overall success of the 21st generation was rated very good. Nedim Rahmanović was named the best cadet of the generation and gave his first official speech, highlighting the mission ahead: “We are becoming not just police officers, but guardians of rights, safety, and justice. Our actions must always serve the citizens and build trust in the institutions we represent.”
