18/11/2025
The Basic Training in intelligence and analytical work using the i2 software programme has been completed today at our agency. The course was intended for police and state officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), specifically for analysts working in criminal-intelligence tasks and data processing.
The specialist programme targeted middle-management staff. It was delivered by experts Emir Sokočević and Mensur Šipkar from 10 to 18 November. The training followed the standards of the Common Core Curriculum for middle-management training for the border and coast guard (CCC-ML, 2019). The focus was on supervising investigative teams, criminal-intelligence work, risk analysis, and the intelligence cycle. Participants used the analytical tools “i2 iBase” and “Analyst’s Notebook”.
At the closing ceremony, the Director of the Agency for Education and Professional Training, Marko Vujević, congratulated the participants and presented certificates. He thanked everyone involved in preparing and delivering the training.
“Introducing new standards in intelligence and analytical work is crucial,” Director Vujević said. “With the help of national and international experts, we will continue updating our training programmes to help you strengthen your competencies and respond to today’s complex security challenges.”
