14th INTERPA Annual Conference Held in Nevşehir

The 14th Annual Conference of the International Association of Police Academies (INTERPA) took place in Nevşehir, Turkey, from 6 to 8 November. The event brought together representatives of police education institutions from across the globe.
The Agency for Education and Professional Training was represented by Director Marko Vujević, Head of the Support Department Dunja Galić, and Senior Adviser for Statistics, Analysis, Monitoring and the Implementation of International Training Standards Helena Kolobarić.
This year’s conference focused on development strategies for combating cybercrime, with particular attention to legislation and law enforcement in the digital age. The programme included panel discussions and presentations on a wide range of related topics, including the use of artificial intelligence in the fight against online child exploitation, the systematic use of social media by terrorist groups, international cooperation and capacity building, and the role of social networks in terrorism and the security of major sporting events.
Participants engaged in dynamic and expert discussions throughout the three-day event. The conference also provided an opportunity to strengthen international cooperation and exchange experiences among police academies.
Organisers emphasised the high professional standards of the presentations and the constructive contributions of the working groups. They noted that the outcomes of this year’s conference will support the future development of joint educational and research projects within INTERPA.
