A high-level delegation from the Police Academy Danilovgrad in Montenegro, led by Director Nenad Vojinović, paid an official visit to the Agency for Education and Professional Training (AEPTM). This visit marks a continuation of the long-standing and highly successful cooperation between the two institutions, formally established through the Memorandum of Cooperation signed in April 2023.

To date, this collaboration has primarily focused on aligning the basic training curricula for Montenegrin Border Police officers with the FRONTEX Joint Curriculum for border and coast guard officers in the European Union. AEPTM has played a leading role in this area, having trained BiH Border Police cadets according to FRONTEX standards since 2019.

During a working meeting at AEPTM headquarters, Director Marko Vujević welcomed the delegation and facilitated a constructive discussion on the modalities of future cooperation. The discussion emphasized the institutions’ shared objectives: enhancing all aspects of training for security service officers in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, and promoting open, transparent collaboration in line with national legislation.

The discussions also included Jelena Tomić from the Education Sector of PA Danilovgrad, Predrag Šupljeglav, Deputy Director of AEPTM, and Dunja Galić, Head of the AEPTM Support Department. Key topics addressed included planning joint initiatives such as scientific research activities and conferences, information exchange, joint research projects, the exchange of academic and professional staff for regular and specialized training, development of training programs for staff, sharing curricula, professional internships, and cultural and sports activities.

Following the meeting, the delegation toured the AEPTM complex, currently hosting approximately two hundred cadets from the BiH Border Police and the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies. Through discussions with lecturers, mentors, and instructors, the delegation observed that AEPTM provides excellent facilities and equipment, offering outstanding conditions for the training and education of the country’s police staff.
