02/02/2026
The Agency for Education and Professional Training (AEPTM) today hosted delegations from the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies, the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Consulate of the Republic of Turkey in Mostar, and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), marking the launch of cooperation between AEPTM and TIKA.
The cooperation is being implemented through the organization of a basic training programme on interventions in mass riots, intended for police officers of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies. The training will be delivered by police experts from the Republic of Turkey, with the support of instructors from AEPTM.
Prior to the start of the training, a meeting was held to present the activities of AEPTM and discuss potential projects that the Republic of Turkey in cooperation with partner institutions can offer to further enhance the Agency’s statutory competencies.
Addressing the participants, AEPTM Director Marko Vujević emphasized that the two-week training would provide an opportunity to work with highly experienced Turkish police experts in the field of crowd control and intervention in mass riots. He highlighted the importance of an interactive approach, encouraging participants to actively engage and share experiences from their professional practice.
Director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies, Enes Karić, expressed his appreciation to all partners involved in the project and stressed the importance of continuous professional training in this area. He underlined that analysing both positive and negative practical examples is essential for improving police response and operational effectiveness.
The two-week training programme represents a significant step forward in strengthening international cooperation and enhancing professional capacities within Bosnia and Herzegovina’s police institutions.
