Basic police training for SIPA and DCPB cadets begin

A basic training course has bugun today for 25 cadets from the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), who are getting trained to acquire a rank of 'junior inspector' and for 55 cadets from the Directorate for the Coordination of Police Bodies – DCPB , 50 of whom will receive a training for a rank of 'policeman', and 5 for a rank of 'junior inspector'.

According to the curriculum, the DCPB cadets who are undergoing the training for a rank of 'policeman' will attend a seven-month training course divided into three stages: theory classes and practice sessions, professional-operative training and situational classes, followed by the final examination. The DCPB cadets undergoing the training for a rank of 'junior inspector' will spend 17 weeks in the Agency, with the training programme divided into three stages (theory classes and practice sessions, professional-operative training and situational classes, followed by the final examination).

The basic police training programme for the SIPA cadets, who are getting trained to acquire a rank of 'junior inspector', will take 4 months, being divided into two stages: theory classes with practice sessions and situational classes.

The curricula for all three groups include 17 subjects: Police duties and powers, weapon handling and shooting skills, criminalistic tactics, technique and methods, traffic safety and driving a police vehicle, special physical education, physical culture and first aid, criminal psychology, constitutional order and  state administration system, criminal, misdemeanour and criminal procedure law, human rights, IT and communications, English language, and criminal investigations for the SIPA cadets and powers and duties for the DCPB cadets.
