San Antonio – Texas (USA) – Annual IADLEST Conference

Upon invitation of ICITAP (International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Programme of the Ministry of Justice of USA), Branko Vukoja,  Director of the Agency for Education and Professional Training, participated at the annual conference of the International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training  - IADLEST, which was held in San Antonio, Texas, USA, in the period from May 31 to June 03, 2015.

IADLEST conference has become a world-renowned annual gathering of prominent law enforcement experts, training leaders and police academies' managers. The programme of the conference is designed so as to focus the presentations and discussions on the most topical issues concerning police trainings in the world. The presentations and discussions included the following topics: Analysis of criminal offences – impacts on the standards and training,  Gender differences and impact on the learning process in the law enforcement agencies, Management training and efficiency, Responsibility for trainings  and  trends involving responsibility, Benefits and advantages of on-line training certification, etc.

During the conference Vukoja met Michael Becar, IADLEST Executive Director,  and Richard W. Miller, ICITAP Director. They touched upon the cooperation so far and

talked about the Agency's future plans and joint actions of the Agency and ICITAP in BiH. The leading man of  ICITAP stated that ICITAP, through its office in Sarajevo, will continue to support and assist the Agency for Education and Professional Training in the implementation of training programmes aimed at stregthening the operational capacities of law enforcement agencies in BiH in fighting terrorism, organised crime and other security challenges. 

Director Branko Vukoja participated at IADLEST Conference along with directors of FBiH MoI Police Academy and RS MoI Administration for Police Education.
