Graduation ceremony for 30 junior inspectors of SIPA and Direction for Coordination of Police Bodies

A graduation ceremony was held today in the Agency for Education and Professional Training for 25 cadets of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and 5 cadets of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies,  who were promoted to a rank of junior inspector.

The basic police training course for cadets of SIPA lasted for 4 months, with classes divided into two stages: theory classes with practice and situational classes. The cadets of DCPB  spent 17 weeks in the Agency, with classes divided into three stages: theory classes with practice,  professional – operational training and situational classes, with the final examination.

The curricula included 17 subjects: police duties and powers, weapons handling and shooting skills, criminalistics tactics, technique and methodology, traffic safety  and driving a police vehicle, special physical education, physical culture and first aid, criminal psychology, constitutional order and state administration system, criminal, misdemeanour, and criminal procedure law, human rights, informatics and communication, the English language and criminal investigations for the cadets of SIPA and duties and responsibilities of the Directorate for the cadets of DCPB.

At today's ceremony, the best cadets received the awards in recognition of their excellence. Vehbija Aljic was proclaimed the best cadet of the SIPA class, while Fahir Ahmetović excelled among DCPB cadets.

Cadets received congratulations from Branko Vukoja, Director of AEPTM, Perica Stanić, Director of SIPA, Mirsad Vilić, Director for the Coordination of Police Bodies, and Mijo Krešić, Deputy Minister of Security of BiH. They said they had chosen a profession that requires honesty and responsibility, 'brave heart, cool head  and clean fingers'. They said life-long learning and professional development ' is the main requirement for the struggle against all types of crimes', contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of law enforcement agencies.

At today's ceremony certificates were handed to the participants of specialist trainings in SCUBA diving. Two trainings in SCUBA diving have been held in cooperation with the Sports and Ecology Association Herzegovina this year. The 'Open Water Diver' training was successfully completed by four members  of the Special Support Unit of SIPA and two instructors of AEPTM. The second training conducted in cooperation with SEUH, led by Dr.Davorin Kozomara, was arranged for the members of our Agency's diver's team members. It is a deep diving specialist training that was successfully completed by 4 staff members/instructors of AEPTM.
