The first national training to address human trafficking

Organised by the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Service for Foreigners' Affairs and Agency for Education and Professional Training, the first national training to address human trafficiking took place in Sarajevo on November 6 – 10, 2017. The professional and organisational assistance to this training was provided by FRONTEX, IOM and UNHCR.
The training goal was to acquire new skills and knowledge required to perform the activities addressing human trafficking in a professional, legal and safe manner. The training was conducted for 20 police officers of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina and civil servants of the Service for Foreigners Affairs, members of the security system of Bosnia and Herzegovina, engaged in 1st and 2nd line border checks, the monitoring of state border, and the activities to address illegal migration and cross border crime.
