The fifth cycle of the training for mentors of police officers on a probation period, organised by AEPTM in cooperation with  ICITAP and BiH Federation Police Academy,  has finished today in the Agency for Education and Professional Training.

The two-week training programme was carried out for 20 police officers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton and West Herzegovina Canton. After they took the final test, the course takers received certificates from Branko Vukoja, Director of the Agency for Education and Professional Training. Canton 7 and 8 Police Commissioners Ilija Lasić and Milan Galić were present at the ceremony.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Alexander Maich from ICITAP underlined the importance of police work, especially the role of mentors in the development of young police forces. He stated that the mentorhisp is an incredibly huge responsibility, adding that everybody in Bosnia and Herzegovina has to find the efficient performance of mentors important.

While expressing congratulations on the successfully done final test (96% of correct answers), Director Vukoja said he was happy to see many experienced police officers among the course takers, which means, as he put it, that Police Commissioners take this training programme, aimed at improving the work with police officers on a probation period, seriously.

The next cycle of Training for mentors of police officers on a probation period is starting on 8 January 2018.
