Gradution Ceremony of 7th Class of Policemen

49 cadets of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who underwent Level I basic police training programme, were promoted today to the rank of 'policeman' in the Agency for Education and Professional Training.

In the last seven months the cadets attended the training course consisting of 1336 classes, divided in three phases: theory classes with practice sessions, operative training course and situational classes. The curriculum consists of 17 subjects: police duties and powers, weapon handling and shooting skills, criminalistics tactics, technique and methodology, traffic safety and driving a police car, special physical education, physical culture and first aid, criminal psychology, constitutional organization and state administration system, criminal and misdemeanour, and criminal procedure law, human rights, informatics and communication, English language and responsibilities and duties of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

After they successfully completed the training programme, the cadets yesterday took the final examination,  and thus fulfilled the conditions to be awarded the rank of 'POLICEMAN'. They received the certificates from Branko Vukoja, Director of the Agency, who wished them every success in their future career. Vukoja commended the cadets for their exceptional demonstration of hard work, which is illustrated by GPA - 4,1 and added: 'The hard work awaits you at BP BiH because of various security challenges. I am convinced, however, that you'll be able to properly respond to all of them'. Vukoja thanked the lecturers and mentors-instructors of the Agency, and the mentors of BP BiH too, who gave their best for the cadets to acquire the skills and knowledge required for their job. Speaking about their professional engagement at BP BiH, Vukoja gave particular emphasis to the application of police powers, professionalism, further professional development, awareness of the complexity of work of police officers, readiness to make sacrifices and efficiency.

The cadets were addressed by Mate Miletic, Assistant of the BiH Security Minister, who congratulted them on the successful completion of the training programme.

Following a decision of the Teachers' Council of the Agency, Adnan Gojak was proclaimed the best cadet of the class. He thanked everyone who contributed to such a good success made by this class and expressed heartfelt gratitude to Milivoje Škorić, a mentor of the Agency, for offering a true support to cadets at all times.

There are currently 133 cadets of the Border Police of BiH and State Investigation and Protection Agency taking the basic police training course in the Agency for Education and Professional Training
