13 police cadets of the State Investigation and Protection Agency, who atteneded the basic police training course in the Agency for Education and Professional Training,  have been promoted today to a rank of 'policeman' in the Agency for Education and Professional Training.

'The class is small, but strong,' said Branko Vukoja, Director of the Agency for Education and Professional Training at the beginning of his address at the graduation ceremony. These police cadets will be deployed to special police squads of the State Investigation and Protection Agency. 'Tough work awaits them after the training course. The society and the state have invested so much in them and the expectations are high. In order to successfully respond to the demanding work, they need to be professional, persistent, ready to sacrifices, apply police powers in accordance with the law and develop themselves professionally', Vukoja said and added that this class was among the best classes, which means that the selection and enrolment procedures done by SIPA were carried out in a professional manner.  

The cadets received congratulations from Đuro Knežević, Deputy Director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency and Mijo Krešić, Deputy Minister of Security of BiH.

In the last 6 months the cadets have attended a training course entailing 1180 educational sessions and work hours, divided into two educational phases: theory lessons with practice exercises and situational classes. The curriculum consists of 17 subjects: police duties and powers, weapon handling and shooting skills, criminalistics tactics, technique and methodology, traffic safety and steering a police vehicle, special physical education and first aid, criminal psychology, constitutional organization and state administration system, criminal, misdemenour and criminal procedure law, human rights, information technologies and communication and the English language, including the tasks and duties of operative and special support. The cadets successfully completed the training course and passed the final exam, by which they acquired a rank of POLICEMAN.  Grade point average of this class is very good.

The Teaching Council of the Agency proclaimed Miroslav Mojsilović the best cadet of the class, with grade point average 4,81.
