Graduation ceremony for 100 policemen of Border Police

100 cadets of the Border Police of BiH have been promoted to a rank of policeman today. It is the ninth generation of cadets who attended Level I basic police training in the Agency and were admitted to the rank of 'policeman'. The cadets successfully completed the training course and passed the final exam before a commission, thus fulfilling all the requirements to be admitted to a rank of 'POLICEMAN'. Their GPA is very good.

At today's ceremony the cadets received congratulations and certificates from Branko Vukoja, Director of the Agency for Education and Professional Training. Vukoja commended the cadets for demonstrating a serious approach to all segments of the training in the last seven months. The training programme consists of 1336 classes, divided in three educational phases: theory classes with practice sessions, operative training course and situational classes.

The curriculum of level I basic police traininh consists of 17 subjects: police duties and powers, weapon handling and shooting skills, criminalistics tactics, technique and methodology, traffic safety and driving a police car, special physical education, physical culture and first aid, criminal psychology, constitutional organization and state administration system, criminal and misdemeanour, and criminal procedure law, human rights, informatics and communication, English language and responsibilities and duties of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

.Given the performance of the cadets throughout the training, Vukoja said '100 well trained young people are coming out of the Agency today, who will demonstrate their competence, persistence and effectiveness while exercising police powers in the organisational structure of the Border Police of BiH, and will be open to further learning and improving ther knowledge in the light of all security challenges to which our country and other countries in the region are exposed.

Robert Perić, Head of the Border Police Regional Office South and Mate Miletic, Assistant BiH Security Minister delivered their addresses at the ceremony.

According to a decision of the Teachers' Council of the Agency, Benjamin Mešanović was proclaimed the best cadet of the class. He thanked the mentors, instructors and lecturers of the Agency for their help, endeavours and contribution to the training, saying in the end: ' I wish everybody had good health and honest approach to work, until retirement.'

Director Branko Vukoja presented certificates to six members of the Special Police Unit of the State Investigation and Protection Agency in open-water diving. In cooperation with the Sports and Ecological Association 'Hercegovina', the Agency continued to provide training for police officers of BiH in SCUBA diving. Basic police training was conducted for six members of the SIPA Special Unit  in June this year.
