34 New Junior Police Inspectors Sworn in for Herzegovina-Neretva Canton

In a formal ceremony held today at the Agency for Education and Professional Training (AEPTM), 34 cadets of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (HNC) were officially promoted to the rank of junior police inspector after completing their Level II Basic Police Training at AEPTM.
Director Marko Vujević presented certificates of appointment, after which the cadets took an official oath to uphold the Constitution and laws of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The ceremony was attended by HNC Minister of Internal Affairs Marijo Marić, Police Commissioner Robert Perić, Advisor to the Deputy Minister of Security of BiH Vedran Knezović, as well as family members and dignitaries from the security sector.
Director Marko Vujević praised the cadets for choosing a demanding but honorable profession, emphasizing the importance of lifelong learning in the face of evolving security challenges. HNC Police Commissioner Robert Perić, addressing the crowd, noted the pride and unity present at the event and reminded the new police inspectors of the responsibility and professionalism their role demands.
Minister Marijo Marić expressed satisfaction with the cadets’ success, announcing plans to recruit 500 more officers in the next two years. “These 34 young individuals now carry the responsibility of upholding the system and the safety of our community,” he said.
Advisor to the BiH Ministry of Security, Vedran Knezović encouraged the new inspectors to act with professionalism, integrity, and respect for human dignity.
The cadets completed a rigorous four-month training programme at the Agency for Education and Professional Training, including theoretical instruction, practical exercises, and fieldwork across 16 subject areas. The title of Cadet of the Generation was awarded to Vlado Sedlarik, who pledged on behalf of his class to serve with honor and dedication.
The new junior police inspectors will officially begin service on September 1.
